Engage in Cross-Cultural Exchange with Taiwan
CCWA is seeking Student Ambassadors for May!
- Five (5) local high school students, sophomore and above, who are willing to engage with 16 Taiwanese students during their program in Cleveland from May 6—May 23, 2019
- Program focuses on music performance, music in social change, and leadership
- Students should have a background in band, youth orchestra, and/or music classes
- Student Ambassadors will have an opportunity to travel to Taiwan in autumn 2019
Student Ambassador Requirements
- Ability to host 1-2 Taiwanese students overnight from May 17—May 20
- Willingness to engage with Taiwanese students as local “Student Ambassadors,” introducing the students to American culture and joining Cleveland-based programming
- Maturity, communication skills, and a desire to grow as young leaders

- Current resume, listing your school and when spring semester ends
- Name and contact of a music instructor who can provide a reference
- One page (single space, 12-point font) response to the question: “How will this exchange experience impact you and your family, school, or community?”
- Brief description of your access to transportation (i.e., Do you have your own car? Can you access public transportation?)

ADMISSION
Documentary songwriting is a powerful vehicle for telling women's stories. It turns difficult experiences into beautiful music, and through collaboration it creates lasting bonds between participants. These real, truthful stories can help connect even more people.
