This program focuses on social integration and supportive schooling for children with special needs. Ukrainian visitors will see an array of programs and organizations in Cleveland that work to ensure a positive environment for special needs children, prevent abuse, promote skill-building/employment opportunities, provide resources for those struggling with disabilities, and involve them in the community.

International Visitor Leadership (IVLP) Program

Each year, over 300 professionals from around the world visit Northeast Ohio through IVLP. Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, these visitors have been identified by U.S. embassies as emerging leaders in their fields. Over 50 Nobel Laureates and 335 current or former Chiefs of State or Heads of Government are alumni of this program.

Foreign Policy Forum COVID-19 Guidelines

In light of the ongoing evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our members, speakers, and staff remain a priority for the Cleveland Council on World Affairs. We ask that all Foreign Policy Forum attendees agree to maintain vigilance to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by:

Refraining from attending Foreign Policy Forum events if you:
– Have had recent contact with an infected person
– Are experiencing symptoms or feeling unwell
Maintaining a vaccination and booster schedule appropriate for your own risk level and health implications.
Continuing to follow local health authorities’ guidelines in an evolving environment.
Agreeing to comply with requests, such as masking, if necessary, made by CCWA staff to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
