Reflecting on the events that led to her removal as U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine in 2019, Maria “Masha” Yovanovitch has a stark but hopeful story to tell of the dedication of foreign service officers and her own career. Moving up through the ranks of the State Department, Yovanovitch leveraged her intelligence and work ethic to arrive at the post of Ambassador to Ukraine in 2016. Her endeavors to encourage democracy, support anti-corruption efforts, and advance U.S. interests and values in Ukraine no doubt left a lasting impression that continues to inform the policies of a country now under direct military attack. Please join us for a special luncheon and book signing event with the ambassador. Books will be available for purchase through a partnership with Visible Voice Books.
