WHAT
Join the Cleveland Council on World Affairs for a series of workshops to develop greater global understanding. The series consists of 3 key elements that build off each other (understanding cultural norms; developing cross-cultural strategies; engaging in global competency assessment). Participants can select the series or choose the workshop(s) that suit their interests or needs.
Learning outcomes from the series include:

- Understand one’s own cultural perspective
- Identify and gain awareness of underlying dimensions of culture
- Recognize the importance of approaching cultural interactions with an open mind
- Learn how to communicate more effectively across cultures

- November 14: Developing Cross-Cultural Strategies
- December 10: Engaging in Global Competency Assessment
Participation in full series is recommended.
HOW
Enjoy a glass of wine and chat with globally-minded participants. Light appetizers and refreshments are included. Space is limited to 25 participants due to the interactive nature of training exercises.

We invite those who wish to meet new people, travel or work internationally, or to discuss the nuances of culture to develop greater global competency.

Location: Tucker Ellis, 950 Main Ave Suite 1100, Cleveland, OH 44113
Parking: Parking is not included in registration. Parking options include lots in the downtown area and street parking, if parking restrictions are not in place. Car services, such as Uber and Lyft, are always an option. CCWA also encourages walking, biking, or public transportation, including the RTA.
